Yes. Building a brief and sending it to studios is free for tattoo clients. Tattoo Advisor monetises by charging studios for verified leads, not clients.
Will studios actually respond to my brief?+
Most do, within 48 hours. Studios that pay to be on Tattoo Advisor have committed to responding to every brief. If a studio doesn't respond within 72 hours, the brief automatically routes to a backup.
How many studios can I send my brief to?+
Up to 3 at a time. You can also tick a 'fallback' option that lets us route to other top-rated studios in your city if your selected ones don't respond.
What if I don't have references yet?+
You can sketch your idea on our drawing canvas, paste a Pinterest link, or take a photo with your phone. Anything that gives the studio a sense of what you want.
Can I draw my tattoo idea instead of uploading?+
Yes. The canvas works on touch (phone, tablet) and mouse/trackpad. Pen and eraser tools, basic colour. Save the sketch as a reference image in your brief.
Can I send a Pinterest board?+
Paste any public Pinterest URL — board or single Pin. Studios can browse the link directly.
How long until I hear back?+
Most studios respond within 48 hours. Some reply within hours. If you haven't heard back in 72 hours, the brief routes to backup studios automatically (if you opted in).
What happens to my images and data?+
Your brief is stored for 90 days, then deleted. Images are shared only with the studios you selected. You can request earlier deletion at privacy@tattooadvisor.com.au.
